  • The Naked buying team bought this from the back door of a well known grower in Chablis, but were sworn to secrecy about who, what and how. Which is kinda the point about the 'back door' bit.
  • What we can tell you is this well-known Chablis won't fail to impress. Bone dry and minerally, you could serve this in from a milk bottle and still impress your friends for a lot less than you'd normally stump up for a decent Chablis.
  • Perfect with pretty much any kind of shellfish your heart may desire.

  • You could shell out three times the price for a good old fashioned Burgundy. Or you could save yourself the money, and disappointment, by chucking a bottle or two of this stunning Pinot Noir from Chile into your basket.
  • Constanze and Felipe who make it, are nothing short of magical in their wine making, as you'll note from the complexity that it shows through its tight, juicy black cherry fruit, slightly earthy edge and finish of dark chocolate. Heavenly.
  • This is the big sister of the Kimbao Pinot Noir, but only tiny amounts are available so snap it up quick.

  • We challenged Bill & Claudia to make a top-class Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. We were so impressed by the results we asked him to make a special Reserve to boot.
  • Last year's vintage scooped the BLUE GOLD medal at the Sydney Int. Wine awards and a BRONZE medal from the International Wine Challenge and we think this vintage is even better!
  • Named after their baby daughter, this reserve used the best fruit and had a little extra Small&Small love added. All this made possible by our Naked Angels!

  • What makes Carlos such a cracking wine maker for Naked is that he isn't tied to just one winery. Which means he can choose only the grapes that really get him all excited (in the pure wine sense that is).
  • It also allows him to bargain like billy-oh, which means you get top class Crianza for a decent price, delivering wonderful fresh strawberry fruits, with lovely young, vibrant creamy oak flavours guaranteed to get the tastebuds tingling.
  • Perfect with a big hunk of roast lamb, but just at home with a lovely spicy paella.

  • Fresher than a teenager with their first crush, this little beaut of a Sav Blanc takes crispness to a new level with its utterly captivating gooseberry notes and zingy, tingly finish.Pure lush.
  • Juan the winemaker doesn't believe in wasting money on pointless marketing nonsense. Neither do we, so its a match made in heaven that results in a ridiculously good value white.
  • Youth may be wasted on the young, but not on Sauvignon Blanc. The only way to drink this variety when it's from the New World is straight off the boat and straight into the glass.

  • When Carlos first pushed this wine our way, we were so darned impressed, we immediately asked him to make six other wines exclusively for us. Yes siree folks, he really is that good.
  • This is classic Rioja. Smooth, creamy strawberry fruits, with a little touch of raspberry underneath, all wrapped up in a cloak of vanilla oak that makes the mouth quiver with anticipation. Stunning stuff.
  • You don't get many Rioja's at this kind of quality under a tenner. And when you do, you snap them up, just as we did.

  • Take three sisters, the family business, decades of experience and combine with a fresh modern approach to Champagne, and this is what you get - great value fizz from a region not known for its reasonable pricing policies!
  • Lots of crisp, clean, fresh lemon flabours combine with a lovely biscuity bite to produce a mouthful of bubbles that will help celebrate any suitable occasion in style.
  • Almost 90% of those who have bought it so far say they'll come back for more.

  • Stephen de Wet never lets us down. His Arabella red is a tour de force and this Sauvignon Blanc under the same label is suitably on par.
  • With its ripe crisp apples and slightly white peach quality, it's a total crowd pleaser, as attested by 91% of the nearly 14,000 that have tasted it so far. Can't say fairer than that.
  • If you're cracking out the smoked salmon or paying homage to a bit of shellfish, this is your bottle.

  • American winemaker Stephen makes some of the New World's most sought after wines. Very unlike the over-done fruit bombs you've come to expect, this modern shiraz is ultra clean.
  • When we asked Stephen to make us a little something in his spare time, he jumped at the chance. He gets to be his own boss and you get his top-shelf talent at middle-shelf prices.
  • Stephen's already working his magic in the vineyard ready for next year's wines. Give him your feedback NOW so he can make the 2012 vintage even more fabulous

  • Wowed everyone that tried it on our UK tasting tour in July. Made from carefully selected Grenache and Carignan grapes, and polished by expensive French oak, this wine is a real stunner.
  • We didn't buy this wine. You did, through MarketPlace. Because the winemaker was able to pitch direct to you he didn't have to pay for flights, agents, marketing etc. Which is why its such a darn good price!
  • The tiny Montsant region won't stay a secret forever - buy now while the prices are still low.

  • You'd be forgiven for thinking we've got something against Spanish whites. We haven't. It's just really difficult to find a really nice one. But, after tasting a lot of frogs, we finally found this prince. Refreshingly crisp and light.
  • Frank Massard is our newest winemaker. In an attempt to impress us he offered us every last bottle of his medal-winning Herbis at a silly-low price. We quickly said 'yes'!
  • Angel funding means Frank will soon be making lots more medal-winning wines for us. In the meantime, here's a taste of what's to come.

  • This is quite possibly the tastiest Rioja you'll ever find. Why? Because Carlos is in the unique position of being able to buy the best grapes the region has to offer.
  • What you probably don't know is, to make Rioja Reserva only the very last squeeze of juice is used. The result is 100% flavour.
  • Rich, smooth and creamy. Drinking this is like putting on a pair of silk knickers. You could go cheaper, but it wouldn't be quite so lovely!
