Comment on: Vina Tinajas Merlot 2011

So I confess I'm not normally a big Merlot fan as I find it too jammy and fruity so I was pleasantly surprised here that the jammy flavours did not overpower th rest of the wine - this is a good example of a merlot - not the £10 a bottle kind of good but good value regular drinker and it's clear the winemaker knows his stuff and didn't just go for the easy solution of overpowering fruit

I am no expert, but I loved this wine because you could taste the wine without being overpowered by the flavour of the cask.
