A new and enjoyable experience as have never tried a wine, certainly with the knowledge, that is blended with lagrein.
A little light on the nose but when poured it was a deep, rich colour which looked very tempting in the glass. Upon taste it had the typical pepperyness of a shiraz but with fruitier notes coming from, i presume, the lagrein.
The tannins were light which makes this a versatile and easy to drink wine. Delicious on its own (as I had) or with a hearty meal. Lamb or duck I think would be particularly good. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
