José's Story

 "As much as it saddens us at Vina Canepa we have to say Good Luck and Farewell to Max as he is moving on to new challenges but fear not dear Angels, I have been working with him for many years and I am only too happy to continue his good work and make some excellent wines for you to drink!

To tell you a little about me,I am first generation Chilean-born, belonging to an Italian (Genoese) passionate family with a long winemaking legacy in Chile.

Since I was born in a family of wine producers, it became natural to spend most of my life learning about all aspects of wine, from planting vines, growing grapes, working in the winery or travelling worldwide either to learn from other experiences or to sell and promote our wines.

You work hand in hand with Nature to yield a product only once a year, but that result is unique, unrepeatable every time. For this reason, people who work in our Winery and in the Vineyard put a different, special passion and attention to details in everything they do.

I think everyone will enjoy the wines we create at Canepa, our wines are aimed to transform simple enjoyable occasions into memorable moments.

I am looking forward to the future here at the winery. There are only good things to come........but they are part of our future surprises. (Wait and see. Patience is in our DNA).

Awards and medals are rewarding and reinforce our winemaking philosophy, but not as much as our Consumers’ loyalty and recognition. So please don’t be shy… tell me what you think of the wines we make with pride here at Canepa."
